Trillium Fort Port and Boston Harborwalk Day Trip

Welcome to Trillium Fort Point and Boston Harborwalk

Fall 2020 is almost here, and Massachusetts (and New England) residents love the change of season, which brings cooler days and nights. And enjoying delicious, Massachusetts craft beers and food, while sitting outside, makes it even better. On this Day Trip, we feature Trillium Brewing Company’s Fort Point brewery and restaurant plus a brief, stroll on Boston’s Harborwalk.

Trillium is a major player in the New England craft beer scene and because of its proximity to the Boston Seaport district, their Fort Point location is a great spot to go for a late afternoon trip.

Trillium Fort Point | Directions from outside Boston

How to get to Trillium Fort Point and Boston Harborwalk

If you are coming from outside Boston, take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) East using the directions above. Trillium is located at 50 Thomson Place. Note most nearby parking is only for residents.

Tip: You can park at One Seaport Garage on Sleeper Street off of Seaport Boulevard. It’s no more than a two-block walk once you get outside the garage. Check rates before you go as most Boston parking rates are pricey.

What to do at Trillium Fort Point and Boston Harborwalk

Enjoy great beers and food and then go for a leisurely walk on the Harborwalk path by the water.

During our visit, there are two spacious, outdoor seating areas: a roof deck and patio. The service staff was on top of everything, and it’s easy to order using your mobile phone.

And if you are not jazzed about craft beers, you can order frozen rose, frozen Bellinis or craft sodas. The fried chicken sandwich went great with the Fort Point Ale.

Ask for a seat on the roof deck; it’s cool to view the Boston cityscape at night.

Tip: Try any of the beers on tap before ordering; the staff will bring samples to you.

Tip: You can make a reservation online – for the day you want to visit – starting at 9am. Because Trillium Brewing is so popular, you will need a reservation.

Once you’re done, head to Seaport Boulevard, turn left and then after walking about two blocks, when you reach the bridge, go down to the Harborwalk. On a clear night, the views are stunning. There are also benches and tables along the path to simply enjoy the Boston cityscape.

Tip: Head to Fan Pier Park, which has seating, landscaped green spaces and terrific harbor and cityscape views. It is easy to get to from the bridge, just walk down by the water and walk to the landscaped area.
