Visit Massachusetts State Parks and Hiking Trails

There are so many fun outdoor adventures across Massachusetts you can have by visiting state parks or hiking trails. You’ll find we highlight a variety of MA state parks and hiking locations to help you explore nature and do fun outdoor activities.

Some of our favorite day trips include exploring the amazing western Massachusetts Pioneer Valley landscape vistas at Mount Tom State Reservation, going for a quiet, easy walk on the Assabet River Rail Trail in Maynard or seeing a panoramic view of the Cape Cod shore and Islands at The Knob.

We hope you’ll come back often to get ideas that make it easy to find and visit MA state parks and hiking trails.

Mount Sugarloaf Summit in South Deerfield, Massachusetts offers sweeping vistas of the Connecticut River, Pioneer Valley and Berkshire Hills. You can hike up or drive the auto road (during the season) to the south summit at 652-feet high. There is a covered picnic area, a grassy space and a three-level observation tower to take in the views.
